Toronto FC places Dunfield on waivers
Jun 13, 2013 - 7:20 PM Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Toronto FC announced Thursday that the club has placed midfielder Terry Dunfield on waivers."This was a difficult decision to make but our midfielders have been playing well, and there are young players to develop and find minutes for," said Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen. "We felt this was the best decision for both the club and Terry moving forward.
"On behalf of everyone at Toronto FC, we'd like to thank Terry for his contributions to the club and wish him well in his future endeavors."
Dunfield, 31, was acquired in a trade with Vancouver Whitecaps FC on July 14, 2011. He made 56 appearances for the Reds across all competitions, logging six goals.
