Juventus completes Asamoah deal

Jun 19, 2013 - 6:24 PM Turin, Italy (Sports Network) - Juventus secured the permanent rights to midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah on Wednesday in a deal that will see Juve pay $12 million to Udinese over the next three years.

Juve purchased 50 percent of Asamoah's rights from Udinese last summer after the Ghanaian spent four successful seasons at the Stadio Friuli.

But after netting three goals and appearing in 40 games for Juve, which won Serie A and reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Asamoah now has a permanent home in Turin.

"Juventus Football Club announces that it has terminated the current co- ownership agreement with Udinese Calcio concerning the registration rights of Kwadwo Asamoah," read a club statement from Juventus.

The 24-year-old Asamoah joins the Old Lady on a four-year contract, while Juventus also announced that it has extended the co-ownership agreements with Udinese over the registration of Mauricio Isla and Cristian Pasquato for another 12 months.
