Nesta quits Azzurri
Aug 1, 2007 - 12:19 PM Special to PA SportsTickerMILAN, Italy (Ticker) - World Cup-winning Italy defender Alessandro Nesta has announced his retirement from international football.
The 31-year-old AC Milan star has said he will "never join the national team again".
He added: "My adventure with the Azzurri finishes here."
Nesta follows Roma's Francesco Totti in choosing to concentrate on club commitments.
