Ibrahimovic pledges future to Italian champions
Aug 22, 2007 - 3:03 PM GOTHENBURG, Sweden (Ticker) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic has pledged his future to Inter Milan.Ibrahimovic, who is currently on international duty with Sweden in Gothenburg, has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.
However, the former Juventus star has no intention of leave the Italian champions.
"I have never been interested in other teams," Ibrahimovic said.
"The only thing I have wanted was to remain at Inter. My family and I are happy in Milan, I could not ask for a better situation."
The 25-year-old is focused on Wednesday's international friendly against the United States but cannot wait for the Italian season to kick off.
"It's going to be a beautiful challenge," he said. "Juventus, Genoa and Napoli are back in Serie A and they are teams that bring a lot of spectators to the competition.
"We will obviously have a lot of pressure as we are the defending champions but it will be a very difficult season, which makes it all the more beautiful."
Inter begins its campaign against Udinese on Sunday.
