Sep 29, 2014 - 8:27 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan was named the Player of the Week on Monday for Week 29 of the 2014 Major League Soccer season.

Donovan scored one goal and added three assists on Sunday, leading the Galaxy to a 4-0 thrashing of the New York Red Bulls at the StubHub Center and earning his fourth Player of the Week award this season.

The United States international assisted on goals from Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes, which pulled him level with Steve Ralston for the all-time lead with four matches remaining in the regular season.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from the North America Soccer Reporters (NASR). The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
