Emilio honored by MLS

United forward Luciano Emilio was named MLS Player of the Month for June on Tuesday.Emilio, 29, recorded seven goals and added two assists in June, helping D.C. United to a perfect 4-0 mark. Emilio notched two game-winning goals and two multi-goal games, including a hat trick against the New York Red Bulls on June 14. Emilio has scored in six consecutive games.
Emilio, who scored 20 goals to win Newcomer of the Year in 2007, is second in the league with 10 goals in 15 matches.
