NEW YORK (Ticker) -- New England Revolution forward Adam Cristman was named MLS Player of the Week on Monday.
Cristman scored both goals in New England's 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday and now has six tallies this season.
The striker put the Revolution in front in the 33rd minute, knocking home a rebound of a Shalrie Joseph shot. Cristoman then doubled the advantage four minutes later, heading home a corner kick from Steve Ralston.
The award is the first in Cristman's two-year career.
It is the second straight week a Revolution player has won the honor - Ralston earned his first career weekly award last week.
