Chivas signs F Nurse
Jul 16, 2008 - 12:13 AM CARSON, California (Ticker) -- Chivas USA signed forward Roberto Nurse on Tuesday.Nurse, 24, scored 17 goals over the last two seasons in Mexico's Primera A division and will be eligible to play for Chivas pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate. He has been practicing with the MLS squad since early June.
"Roberto is a strong, powerful center forward who we've been taking a close look at for the past few weeks," Chivas coach Preki said. "He's good in the air, good with his feet and will add another dimension to our attack. We're happy to have him in the squad."
