DC United acquires M Guerrero
Jul 31, 2008 - 6:09 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- D.C. United on Thursday acquired midfielder Ivan Guerrero from the San Jose Earthquakes for a partial allocation.The 30-year-old Honduras native, who has earned 79 caps with his country's national team, scored one goal in 14 games for the Earthquakes this season.
"We are very excited to have concluded a trade to acquire Ivan," D.C. United general manager Dave Kasper said. "He is an honest and hardworking player who has terrific experience both in MLS and with the National Team of Honduras. Ivan is a great fit for our style of play, and we look forward to his contributions to our club."
