Vitesse Arnhem came agonizingly close to its first win of the season on Saturday, but Frank Demouge grabbed a last-minute equalizer for Willem II in a 2-2 draw.

The hosts went behind to a 15th-minute opener from Willem II's Mehmet Akgun, but equalized immediately after halftime through Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Willem II then had Jens Janse sent off in the 52nd minute and his dismissal proved a turning point as Vitesse's Nicky Hofs scored four minutes later.

However, a first win was not to be as Demouge pounced in injury time to snatch a share of the spoils.

Champions PSV Eindhoven stay top with an emphatic 3-0 win over de Graafschap. Danko Lazovic scored twice before Ibrahim Afellay wrapped up the win 11 minutes from time.

Heracles Almelo also beat Roda JC, 2-0, courtesy of Willy Overtoom (60) and late substitute Vojtech Schulmeister (90).
