Revolution captain Ralston breaks leg
Oct 12, 2008 - 4:12 AM KANSAS CITY, Kansas (Ticker) -- New England Revolution captain Steve Ralston suffered a broken right fibula early in the first half of a 1-0 loss to the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday.The midfielder, who is the MLS' all-time leader in games and assists, was transported to Providence Hospital in Kansas City. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, with the earliest return date being the MLS Cup on November 23 - should the Revolution advance that far in the postseason.
Ralston leads the Revolution with eight goals and seven assists this season. The 34-year-old missed three matches earlier this season due to back spasms.
