Canada settles for draw with Mexico
Oct 16, 2008 - 3:11 AM EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Matias Vuoso leveled the contest in the 64th minute as the Mexican men's national team settled for a 2-2 draw with Canada on Wednesday in a 2010 FIFA World Cup semifinal qualifying match.Carlos Salcido tallied in the 35th minute for Mexico (3-1-1), which has already secured a berth in the final round.
Ali Gerba scored in the 13th minute and Tomasz Radzinski tallied in the 50th minute for Canada (0-3-2), which was officially eliminated after its 3-1 defeat to Honduras on Saturday.
Canada, which is ranked fifth in CONCACAF and 84th in the world, concludes its international play against Jamaica (2-2-1) on November 19.
