Chivas USA F Galindo has surgery
Oct 29, 2008 - 10:53 PM CARSON, California (Ticker) -- Chivas USA forward Maykel Galindo underwent successful surgery to repair a bilateral sports hernia, the team announced Wednesday.The procedure was performed by Dr. William C. Meyers at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Galindo, who has one goal and two assists in 10 games this season, could be out up to three months. Galindo enjoyed a breakout first campaign in 2007, scoring 12 goals and adding five assists in 28 regular-season matches.
Chivas USA opens the playoffs on Saturday at Real Salt Lake in the opener of their two-game Western Conference semifinal.
