WNBA center Riley to play for Greece's Athinaikos
Jan 25, 2010 - 5:08 PM ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- San Antonio Silver Stars center Ruth Riley will play for Athinaikos for the remainder of the Greek league season.Athinaikos said on Monday that Riley will replace LaToya Davis, who broke her wrist in Sunday's game with Panathinaikos.
Riley will join Athinaikos in Ukraine for a game against Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday in the first leg of the Eurocup's round of 16.
The 30-year-old Riley also has played professionally in Spain and Poland.
Athinaikos, the reigning Greek champion, leads the League with a 13-0 record.
