Shock send draft picks to Sun for Holt, Black

Apr 7, 2010 - 10:33 PM TULSA, Okla.(AP) -- The Tulsa Shock have acquired former first-rounders Amber Holt and Chante Black from the Connecticut Sun in exchange for two draft picks.

The Sun get the relocated franchise's first-round choice, No. 7 overall, in Thursday's WNBA draft and a second-round pick in 2011.

Tulsa coach and general manager Nolan Richardson says Black and Holt will fit into the "40 Minutes of Hell" system he used to win a NCAA men's basketball title at Arkansas and that he intends to bring to the WNBA.

Holt was a first-round pick out of Middle Tennessee in 2008 and averaged six points in 23 games last season. Black, a first-round pick out of Duke last year, averaged 2.9 points in 33 games.
