Silver Stars sign Moore
Mar 30, 2012 - 5:43 PM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Silver Stars signed guard Loree Moore on Friday.Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Over five WNBA seasons, all with the New York Liberty, Moore has career averages of 6.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals.
"I am truly excited, thankful and blessed about this great opportunity," Moore said. "Not only do I get to be part of a great organization with tremendous fans but reconnect with some great people and friends of mine in Vickie Johnson, Becky Hammon, Shameka Christon and Tangela Smith. I've always followed the Silver Stars and admired what Dan Hughes has done in San Antonio over the years."
Moore, though, hasn't played in the WNBA since 2009. She sat out the 2010 season to rehab a knee injury suffered during training camp and is currently playing for Chevakata of the Russian League.
