Sun's Montgomery earns Sixth Woman Award
Sep 28, 2012 - 12:00 AM New York, NY (Sports Network) - Connecticut Sun guard Renee Montgomery has been selected as the WNBA's Sixth Woman of the Year.Montgomery was named the top reserve after receiving 23 of the 41 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
The UConn product averaged 11.6 points and 3.4 assists this season, her fourth as a professional.
San Antonio's Danielle Adams and Jia Perkins finished second and third in the balloting with nine and six votes, respectively.
