Silver Stars' Young tears ACL
Feb 4, 2013 - 8:54 PM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Sophia Young has suffered a torn ACL in her right knee.Young sustained the injury while participating in the semifinals of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association on Jan. 24 and an MRI exam confirmed the tear. A timetable for her 2013 season return won't be determined until she begins the rehabilitation process.
Young was named to the WNBA's All-Defensive Team and earned All-WNBA Second Team honors in 2012. She led the Silver Stars with 16.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.24 steals per game.
