Silver Stars sign Flores
Mar 14, 2013 - 7:49 PM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Silver Stars inked native daughter Christine Flores on Thursday.Flores was a third-round pick of the Phoenix Mercury in 2012 out of Missouri, where the 6-foot-3 forward averaged 16.9 points over 31 games in her senior season of 2011-12.
The 22-year-old just completed her first professional season overseas with Galil Elion where she averaged 16.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.5 steals while shooting 51.1 percent from the field through 19 Israeli League games.
Flores starred at Winston Churchill High School, setting the all-time scoring mark with 1,998 points.
