Lynx G Harding has surgery on left knee
Jul 20, 2007 - 10:29 PM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsey Harding underwent reconstructive knee surgery, the team announced Friday.Performed at Duke University, the operation repaired Harding's torn left ACL.
Harding, who will miss the remainder of the season, suffered the injury in the third quarter of a game against the Washington Mystics on July 10.
"We are excited that the surgery has been performed and Lindsey is now on the road to recovery," Lynx coach Don Zierden said. "Lindsey's rehabilitation has already begun, and she is vigorously working to return to top form in time for next season."
Harding, the first overall pick of the 2007 draft, led all rookies in scoring at 11.7 points per game and tops the rookie class at 3.9 assists per game.
Harding faces a rehabilitation of six to nine months and is expected to return to full health in time for training camp in April 2008.
