0 shoutsMINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday signed restricted free agent center Nakia Sanford to an offer sheet.
Sanford's current team, the Washington Mystics, have five days to match the offer.
The 6-4 Sanford averaged career highs of 11.0 points and 7.1 rebounds in 34 games last season. The five-year veteran has compiled averages of 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in 143 games - all with Washington.
Minnesota, which holds the third overall pick in April's draft, opens the season on May 18 against the Detroit Shock.
