Mystics re-sign G Koehn

Mar 3, 2008 - 7:44 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Mystics on Monday re-signed reserve guard Laurie Koehn, who is entering her fourth season with the team.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Koehn signed with the Mystics as a free agent in 2005 and has played in 90 games with the team, averaging 2.5 points per contest.

Despite her limited time, Koehn is regarded as a 3-point specialist, leading the WNBA in 3-point percentage in 2005 and 2006.

"We are happy to have Laurie back with the Mystics as she has demonstrated in the last three seasons that she is one of the best shooters in the league," Washington coach Linda Hargrove said. "Her work ethic is unparalleled and she continues to work hard to improve her overall game."

In last year's WNBA All-Star Three-Point Shootout competition, Koehn's score of 25 points in the final matched the NBA mark for points in a single round set by Craig Hodges in 1986.
