0 shoutsNEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Liberty added backcourt depth Wednesday, acquiring rookie guard Leilani Mitchell from the Phoenix Mercury for a third-round 2009 draft pick.
The 25th overall pick in this year's draft, Mitchell also signed a contract with the Liberty at undisclosed terms.
The 5-5 Mitchell enjoyed an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Utah, averaging 17.1 points and 5.8 assists.
