Silver Stars' Crossley to miss season

May 14, 2008 - 10:24 PM SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- San Antonio Silver Stars guard Shanna Crossley will miss the entire season after tearing her left ACL during Monday's preseason game against Detroit.

Crossley suffered the injury on the Silver Stars' second possession of the game and will undergo surgery on May 22.

"Shanna has been an important part of our franchise during the past two years," San Antonio coach Dan Hughes said. "We will certainly miss her this season."

Taken by the Silver Stars in the second round of the 2006 draft, Crossley is the only San Antonio player to play in every game the last two seasons. She averaged 9.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 2007.
