NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Janel McCarville scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the New York Liberty edge the Indiana Fever, 102-96, in triple overtime on Thursday.
Shameka Christon drilled a 3-pointer with 1:23 remaining in the third overtime to give the Liberty (6-6) a one-point lead at 97-96. The Fever (7-6) finished the game 0-for-4 from the floor in the final minute.
With Indiana clinging to an 88-87 advantage, Indiana's Tamika Catchings fouled McCarville with two seconds left in overtime. McCarville missed the first free throw attempt, but converted on the second to tie the game.
New York's Cathrine Kraayeveld hit a 3-pointer with six seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
Christon had 23 points and Essence Carson added 18 for the Liberty.
Ebony Hoffman led the Fever with 26 points and Tammy Sutton-Brown notched 23 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.

DETROIT 70, CONNECTICUT 61: At Detroit, Deanna Nolan had 13 points and the Shock had four players in double figures in their victory over the Sun.
Kara Braxton had 11 points off the bench and Cheryl Ford, Katie Smith and Plenette Pierson each had 10 for Detroit (11-4). Ford also had a game-high nine rebounds.
Asjha Jones had a game-high 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace the Sun (11-4).
MINNESOTA 80, SACRAMENTO 76: At Minnesota, Seimone Augustus had a game-high 23 points and led the Lynx past the Monarchs.
Augustus scored six of the last seven points of the game for the Lynx (8-6), who were coming off a blowout win over the Liberty on Tuesday.
Candace Wiggins chipped in 17 points and six assists off the bench for Minnesota and Nicole Powell paced the Monarchs (6-8) with 20 points.
HOUSTON 77, SAN ANTONIO 71: At Houston, Sancho Lyttle poured in a game-high 18 points to help the Comets roll past the Silver Stars.
The Comets (6-8) shot 60 percent from the floor and overcame 16 turnovers to pull away in the fourth quarter after being tied at the conclusion of the third.
Erin Buescher scored 13 points to lead the Silver Stars (8-6).
PHOENIX 89, CHICAGO 79: At Chicago, Kelly Miller had 17 points and led five other players in double digits as the Mercury defeated the Sky.
Diana Taurasi had nine assists for the Mercury (6-7), who outscored the Sky, 22-13, in the second quarter.
Chasity Melvin recorded 19 points to lead all scorers and Jia Perkins chipped in 18 for the Sky (3-9).
WASHINGTON 77, LOS ANGELES 74: At Los Angeles, Monique Currie led all scorers with 24 points as the Mystics edged the Sparks in overtime.
Alana Beard recorded 17 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Washington (6-8).
Candice Parker scored 17 for the Sparks (10-4), who had the chance to eclipse their win total in 2007 when they were 10-24 overall. Lisa Leslie recorded 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
