Catchings leads Fever to win over Sky
Jul 3, 2008 - 3:30 AM By PA SportsTickerINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Tamika Catchings scored a season-high 18 points off the bench as the Indiana Fever held on for a 74-67 victory over the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night.
Tammy Sutton-Brown had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Fever, who emerged victorious despite shooting just 40 percent (25-of-63) from the field.
Catchings, who had surgery on her right Achilles in September, played in just her eighth game this season after rehabilitating the injury she suffered in last season's Eastern Conference finals. On Wednesday, she shot 5-of-7 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free-throw line.
Candice Dupree collected 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Sky, who lost for the fourth time in their last six contests.
