Sun sign F Abrosimova
Aug 27, 2008 - 9:27 PM UNCASVILLE, Connecticut (Ticker) -- The Connecticut Sun signed forward Svetlana Abrosimova on Wednesday.The 6-2 forward played seven seasons in the WNBA for the Minnesota Lynx from 2001-07, averaging 10.0 points and 4.4 rebounds.
Abrosimova recently helped her native Russia win bronze at the Olympics in Beijing.
"Svetlana will bring us a great veteran presence at the three and four positions," Sun coach Mike Thibault said. "Her ability to score from both the perimeter and in the lane will add a great dynamic to our offense."
