HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Janel McCarville scored 33 points to lead the New York Liberty to a 90-87 overtime victory against the Houston Comets on Tuesday night.
McCarville made 14-of-20 shots from the field and added four rebounds and four blocks to help the Liberty (16-12) snap the Comets' eight-game home win streak.
Lisa Willis notched a career-high 22 points while Catherine Kraayeveld was the only other member of New York to reach double figures, pouring in 11 points.
Tina Thompson led the way for the Comets (14-15), scoring 34 points while grabbing seven rebounds.
In Tuesday's other games:
INDIANA 79, WASHINGTON 68: At Washington, Tamika Catchings poured in 26 points to lead the Fever to a triumph over the Mystics.
Catchings hit 4-of-9 3-pointers and added nine rebounds while Tan White and Katie Douglas scored 19 points apiece for Indiana (14-15).
Alana Beard had 17 points to lead Washington (10-19).
SEATTLE 83, ATLANTA 69: At Atlanta, Sue Bird scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as the Storm claimed a victory against the Dream.
Bird had nine assists and hit a trio of 3-pointers while Camille Little and Yolanda Griffith contributed 16 points and seven rebounds each. Swin Cash and Tanisha Wright added 11 points apiece for Seattle (19-10).
Betty Lennox scored 25 points in the loss as Atlanta fell to 3-27 this season.
