Dream names Ross assistant coach
Nov 19, 2008 - 2:52 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Dream on Wednesday named Carol Ross as an assistant coach.Ross brings over 20 years of recruiting and collegiate coaching experience to the Dream, most recently as the head coach of her alma mater, the University of Mississippi.
Ross has spent the past 16 seasons as a head coach at Florida and Mississippi of the Southeastern Conference, turning both programs around and posting eight 20-win seasons.
"I am extremely happy about Carol's decision to join our staff," Dream head coach and general manager Marynell Meadors said. "She is a proven winner. She brings a competitive nature to the game and has been successful with many current WNBA players. I look forward to working with her to establish the Atlanta Dream as a powerhouse."
