    Rainy Dub | Royals Take Series vs. Blue Jays With Rain-Shortened Win

    The Royals sent Cole Ragans to the mound in the series finale vs. the Blue Jays looking to secure Cole's first win and a series win. Salvador Perez blasted a two-run homer in the 1st inning, a shot which pulled him into a tie with Mike Sweeney for 5th place on the Royals all-time RBI leaderboard. Rain began to fall as the game reached the middle innings where Kyle Isbel made a spectacular catch to record the first out of the 5th. The game then entered a rain delay following the conclusion of the inning and after three and a half hours passed the game was called final, giving the Royals a series win over the Blue Jays, and a second consecutive winning homestand.

    The Royals evened the series against the Blue Jays and came out ready to secure another win. Bobby Witt Jr. drew a walk in the first inning, and Salvador Perez wasted no time in getting him home after singling on a hard line drive to left field. Kyle Isbel got busy in the second inning after hitting a double and running to third after the left fielder's error. Maikel Garcia quickly hit him in with an RBI single. Alec Marsh kept the Blue Jays scoreless until exiting the game in the 5th inning after taking a comebacker to the right forearm. Bobby Witt Jr. added one more run in the bottom of the 5th after singling to center field and scoring Kyle Isbel. The Boys in Blue are up 2-1 in the series!

    Series Evened | Royals Capitalize in Win Over Blue Jays

    After dropping the opener vs. the Blue Jays, the Royals turned to Michael Wacha on the mound in the second game of the four-game set. The Royals were kept off the scoreboard until the 5th inning where an error allowed a run to score and cut into the Blue Jays 2-0 lead. Bobby Witt Jr. then stepped in and sent a two-out double into the corner to flip the Royals out in front where they would stay for good. Chris Stratton tossed 1.2 scoreless innings to pick up the win, John Schreiber tossed a scoreless inning of his own, and James McArthur recorded a 6-out save to preserve the lead and even the series vs. the Blue Jays.
