AUB 83, IOWA 75After a back-and-forth second half, Auburn came away with a 83-75 victory over Iowa in the first round of the 2023 NCAA tournament. Watch the extended highlights here. AUB 83, IOWA 75Iowa vs. Duke: The #15 Blue Devils defeated Iowa at the Jimmy V Men's Classic, 74-62. The Duke defense held the Hawkeyes to only 39.7% field goal shooting and just three made three-pointers in the game. Jeremy Roach was the Blue Devils' leading scorer with 22 points. Mark Mitchell had 17 points and five rebounds. Kyle Filipowski had another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. For Iowa, Kris Murray had eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
IOWA 62, DUKE 74Georgia Tech vs. Iowa: The Yellow Jackets lost on the road to the Hawkeyes, 81-64. Miles Kelly led the Yellow Jackets with four made three-pointers and 21 points. Jalon Moore had 10 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Iowa's Kris Murray had 31 points, 20 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.
GT 65, IOWA 81Iowa vs. Clemson: The Tigers went down to the #25 Hawkeyes, 74-71. Clemson trailed by as many as 14 with just under eight minutes left in the game, and were able to cut the deficit to two in the final 11 seconds, but could not get any closer. Chase Hunter scored a team-high 21 points to go with six assists and three rebounds. Hunter Tyson had 13 points and eight rebounds. For Iowa, Patrick McCaffery scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds.
