Trailing by 2 with less than 2 seconds remaining in regulation Pete Nance hit a tough turnaround as the buzzer sounded to force overtime where the Heels pulled away. Armando Bacot had another monster game, scoring 28 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in the win.

Five Duke players reached double-figures led by Kyle Filipowski who dropped 16 points and had 7 rebounds. Dereck Lively II chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds for Blue Devils.
