Navy vs. Louisville: The Louisville Cardinals bounced back with a nice performance against Navy, winning at home, 77-60. It was a balanced scoring game for the Cards, led by Matt Cross' 14 points on 4-of-4 shooting from 3-point range. Three other players scored in double figures for Louisville, with Jae'Lyn Withers also going perfect from the field, making all 4 of his shot attempts as well. NAVY 66, UVA 58Navy vs. Virginia: The Midshipmen went into Charlottesville and defeated Virginia 66-58 in the first game of the season. Virginia scored just three points in the final 8:40 of the game. This was Navy's first win over a top 25 team since 1986 when David Robinson was in his junior season with the Midshipmen. Jayden Gardner scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Cavaliers. Kihei Clark was the only other UVA player to score in double-figures, with 12 points. John Carter Jr. was Navy's leading scorer with 19 points, going 5-8 from behind the three-point arc.
