Deivon Smith had a well-rounded game with 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. Dallan Coleman added 12 points and six rebounds.

The Huskies led for a large portion of the game, but Pitt's defense tightened up, holding NIU scoreless for the final 6 minutes of the game.
