Demond Claiborne was the leading rusher for Wake Forest in their season-opening win over Elon. Claiborne had a team-high 70 rushing yards on a team-high 13 carries and also ran in a late fourth-quarter touchdown to help seal the win.

ELO 17, WF 37For only the second time in his career, Wake Forest wide receiver Jahmal Banks had a 100-yard receiving game. In the season opener against Elon, Banks caught six passes for 108 yards, and a touchdown. His other 100-yard performance came in the 2022 game against Clemson.
