Jacques Martin spoke about the enjoyable opportunity he had being the interim head coach of the Senators this season and said he hoped the lessons he passed along to the team will serve them well in the future. Martin also said he thinks the team is fairly close to figuring out the type of coach that is needed for next season and beyond.
Tim Stützle shared an update on the upper-body injury that he suffered late in the season and outlined the next steps for him in his personal development and the growth of the team. The Senators' forward also mentioned he will not participate in the World Hockey Championship for Germany.
Joonas Korpisalo commented on where he felt his game was getting towards the end of the season after admitting the first half of the year didn't go so well for him. The Senators' goaltender shared his belief that the current roster has a lot of potential but finding consistency will be the key for them next season.
Jake Sanderson spoke to the media on Wednesday about what the team learned through all of the change this season, his personal goals moving forward and his excitement to play for the United States at the World Hockey Championship.
