WSH 2, PHI 1The Washington Capitals clinched a 2024 Play-off spot when they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in the last few minutes of the 3rd period with an empty net goal from T.J. Oshie.
WSH 2, PHI 1T.J Oshie scored the game-winning goal with three minutes left to lift the Capitals into the playoffs, eliminating the Flyers, Red Wings and Penguins. Philadelphia, needing a regulation win to have a chance at a playoff berth, pulled the goalie late with the game tied and Washington took advantage to book its return to the postseason.
