Michna throws five TDs as Rush pound Rampage
Mar 15, 2008 - 6:13 AM GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Russ Michna threw five touchdown passes - including a 45-yard strike to Damian Harrell 1:20 into the game - as the Chicago Rush rolled to a 64-35 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage on Friday.Michna, who finished 18-of-26 for 245 yards, teamed with Harrell again later in the first quarter for a 22-yard score and also threw TDs to Donovan Morgan, Travis LaTendresse and Ryan Dennard.
Chicago (2-1) recorded a safety 38 seconds into the contest before Michna completed his first scoring pass to Harrell to make it 8-0. Linebacker DeJuan Alfonzo recovered the ensuing kickoff when it took a weird bounce and returned it five yards for a 15-0 advantage.
Harrell then hauled in his second touchdown on the next possession, and the route was on. Harrell finished with eight catches for 114 yards.
James MacPherson relieved Adrian McPherson and completed 17-of-25 passes for 204 yards and four scores for Grand Rapids (0-2). McPherson finished 9-of-17 for 105 yards and ran for a TD.
