Deitz, defense lift Storm past Rampage
May 17, 2008 - 2:18 AM GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Brett Dietz tossed five touchdown passes and the Tampa Bay Storm forced six turnovers en route to a 58-50 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage on Friday.Dietz completed 20-of-40 passes for 293 yards with one interception and Sedrick Robinson made five catches for 101 yards and a score for the Storm (5-6), who outscored the Rampage by a 28-7 margin in the second quarter.
Hank Edwards hauled in five passes for 51 yards and two touchdowns and Torrance Marshall scored a pair of rushing TDs for Tampa Bay, which has won three of its last four contests.
James MacPherson passed for 268 yards and five scores but was intercepted four times and Cole Magner finished with 15 catches for 175 yards and two touchdowns for Grand Rapids (3-8), which also lost two fumbles in its third straight loss.
