Greisen leads Force to sixth straight win
Jun 8, 2008 - 5:23 AM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Chris Greisen tossed seven touchdown passes as the Georgia Force posted their franchise-record sixth consecutive victory Saturday, a 63-34 triumph over the Columbus Destroyers.Greisen hooked up with Troy Bergeron for four scores as the Force (9-5) grabbed a 14-7 lead with four minutes remaining in the first quarter and never looked back. The quarterback completed 18-of-26 passes for 270 yards.
Bergeron hauled in six passes for 165 yards. With his first nine yards gained, he became just the third wide receiver in league history to reach the 1,000-yard plateau in each of his first three seasons.
Matt Nagy went 23-of-40 for 270 yards and three TDs, while Harold Wells ran for a pair of scores for Columbus (3-11).
