Lions QB Lulay highlights September's best
Oct 3, 2012 - 5:32 PM Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - British Columbia Lions quarterback Travis Lulay, Edmonton Eskimos linebacker J.C. Sherritt, Hamilton Tiger-Cats punter/kicker Luca Congi and Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish were named the top CFL performers for the month of September.Lulay earned offensive honors after completing 116-of-185 passes and throwing for 1,419 yards with 11 touchdowns in the last five games.
Sherritt received defensive honors for the third consecutive month after totaling 34 tackles and three sacks.
Congi converted all 15 of his field goal attempts to collect the special teams award, while Cornish was recognized as the top Canadian after compiling 556 yards and five touchdowns on 76 carries. He also caught eight passes for 32 yards and a score.
