Argonauts release DE Flemons
Jan 25, 2013 - 6:04 PM Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Argonauts released defensive end Ronald Flemons on Friday.Flemons recorded four sacks with Toronto in 2012, winning his first Grey Cup with the club.
In 101 career games over seven seasons, all with Toronto, Flemons had 182 tackles, 26 sacks and five fumble recoveries.
"Ron has been an important member of our team since I arrived in Toronto, and we'd like to thank him for his effort and professionalism," Argonauts general manager Jim Barker said. "These kinds of football decisions are difficult but this move doesn't mean his time in Double Blue won't come again. We wish him continued success in the future."
