Alouettes ink former Colts RB Rhodes
Mar 28, 2013 - 4:10 AM Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - The Montreal Alouettes on Wednesday signed former NFL running back Dominic Rhodes to a two-year contract.The 34-year-old hasn't played since 2010, when he totaled 172 yards and one touchdown on 37 carries for Indianapolis.
A member of the Colts' 2006 Super Bowl winners, Rhodes has compiled 3,286 yards and 26 TDs on 814 carries in eight seasons south of the border.
Montreal also inked cornerback Jordan Mabin to a two-year deal. The Northwestern product spent two games on the Als' practice roster last October, and also was signed to the practice squads with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.
