Hamilton selects DL Gaydosh with first pick of draft
May 6, 2013 - 5:48 PM Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected University of Calgary defensive lineman Linden Gaydosh with the first overall pick of the 2013 CFL Draft.Gaydosh recorded 90 1/2 tackles, seven sacks and 14 tackles for loss during his collegiate career. In 2012, the Alberta native was a Canada West All-Star for the second straight year.
Winnipeg had the second pick on Monday and selected Eastern Michigan defensive lineman Andy Mulumba. The Montreal resident had 156 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks during his four years with the Eagles.
Montreal, with a pick acquired from Edmonton, chose University of Calgary linebacker Mike Edem with the third overall pick, while Saskatchewan nabbed Eastern Michigan offensive lineman Corey Watman fourth.
The Alouettes, with their own pick in the first round, added University of Calgary running back Steven Lumbala and British Columbia took Liberty offensive lineman Hunter Steward sixth.
West Division champion Calgary chose UTEP offensive lineman Brander Craighead with the seventh pick before Grey Cup champion Toronto went with McMaster offensive lineman Matthew Sewell.
Ottawa, which will return to the CFL for 2014 and can select only NCAA redshirt juniors with its picks at the end of each of the first four rounds, chose Iowa offensive lineman Nolan MacMillan.
