HAMILTON, Ontario (Ticker) -- Montreal Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo entered his name into the record books.

Calvillo threw for two touchdowns and 293 yards as the Alouettes posted a 33-10 rout over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in both teams' season opener.

Calvillo's performance moved him into second place on the all-time passing list with 53,343 yards over his 15-year career. He completed 25-of-37 passes, helping Montreal coach Marc Trestman win his CFL debut.

Kerry Watkins led all Alouettes receivers with six catches for 102 yards and two TDs, but it was Jason Armstead's 32-yard catch in the third quarter that pushed Calvillo past Danny McManus (53,255 yards). Damon Allen is pro football's career passing leader with 72,381 yards.

CALGARY 28, B.C. 18

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- Quarterback Henry Burris had three total touchdowns to help the Calgary Stampeders claim a 28-18 victory over the B.C. Lions.

Burris had two passing TDs and ran for another as he racked up 274 yards through the air and another 62 yards on the ground. He completed 22-of-32 passes, connecting with receivers Ken-Yon Rambo and rookie Chris Jackson for scores.

Rambo led all receivers with eight catches for 136 yards and the one touchdown.

The Stampeders defense was solid as well, limiting the Lions to just 65 rushing yards while logging four sacks and registered a safety in the second quarter.

Buck Pierce completed 9-of-14 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown for B.C. before giving way to back-up Jarious Jackson, who logged 95 yards and a score but also threw an interception during the loss.
