Report: Alouettes to announce re-signing of QB Calvillo
Feb 10, 2009 - 12:53 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Montreal Alouettes called a news conference for Tuesday to announce the re-signing of quarterback Anthony Calvillo, according to TSN of Canada.The 2008 CFL Most Outstanding Player, Calvillo led the league in completions (472) and attempts (682) while finishing second in passing yards (5,633).
Calvillo, who slated to become a free agent next week, led Montreal to the top spot in the East Division last season and a berth in the Grey Cup.
The 36-year-old Calvillo earned the Most Outstanding Player award for the second time in his career.
