Tiger-Cats sign Gauthier
Feb 17, 2009 - 1:48 AM HAMILTON, Ontario (Ticker) -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Monday signed offensive lineman Alexandre Gauthier to a contract.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
One of the CFL's premier offensive linemen, Gauthier spent the last three seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and was named an East Division All-Star in 2007.
"We're very excited to add an outstanding Canadian player like Alexandre to our offensive line," Hamilton general manager Bob O'Billovich said of the Quebec native.
"He's played left tackle at a high level for a number of years, and being a Canadian, he allows us more flexibility in regards to the ratio. Signing a player of Alexandre's ability immediately upgrades our offense."
