Twins' Plouffe lands on 7-day DL with concussion
May 22, 2013 - 2:11 PM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins placed third baseman Trevor Plouffe on the 7-day concussion disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Braves.Plouffe left Tuesday's game against the Braves in the 10th inning after being kicked in the head by second baseman Dan Uggla while trying to break up a double play.
In 37 games this season, Plouffe is hitting .254 with four homers and 17 RBI.
Minnesota selected the contract of first baseman Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester and transferred outfielder Darin Mastroianni to the 60-day disabled list.
Colabello was batting .358 with 12 home runs and 39 RBI in 46 games with Rochester this season.
