Red Sox give DH Ortiz day off
Apr 13, 2008 - 10:03 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will not be in the lineup Sunday when the team battles the New York Yankees.The All-Star slugger is in the midst of an 0-for-17 slump and has just three hits in 43 at-bats this season (.077).
Manny Ramirez will take Ortiz's customary spot at DH and Jacoby Ellsbury will start in left field for the Red Sox.
