MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Boston Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez was scratched from the lineup prior to Sunday night's game against the Minnesota Twins because of a sore right hamstring.
However, Ramirez did appear in the ninth as a pinch hitter in the game, but grounded out with the tying run on second base in Boston's 9-8 loss to the Twins.
Ramirez, who has 497 career homers, appeared to tweak his hamstring running to first base in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Twins. The 11-time All-Star is hitting .299 with seven homers and 24 RBI in 38 games this season.
